The Leprosy Mission (TLM) Ireland
TLM Ireland, an Irish charity is the oldest branch of The Leprosy Mission International, globally recognized as a world leader in leprosy care, cure, rehabilitation and prevention. Key skills and competencies acquired over a 135 year history as an effective international development agency are applied across a range of other diseases and developmental issues beyond leprosy: all targeted at reducing poverty, stigma, oppression, marginalization, prejudice and injustice and towards the attainment of the Millennium Development Goals.
TLM Ireland works closely with its partners to deliver holistic community development aid, emergency and disaster relief. Partnership is at the heart of TLM’s work. TLM Ireland partner with national governments, local communities, international agencies and other non-governmental agencies.
In October 2015, The Leprosy mission Ireland together with effect: hope launced the R2STOP initiative to close knowledge gaps in neglected tropical disease transmission. For more information visit the R2STOP website.
