The Research capacity strengthening grant call was launched for the first time in December 2022, at the same time as the regular call for proposals. This grant was specifically focused on capacity strengthening of early career researchers across the five LRI priority areas. The call received great interest with 48 Letters of Intent being submitted.
We are excited to announce that the review process has now concluded and two proposals were awarded the LRI Research capacity strengthening grant.
Congratulations to:
- Suleiman Hudu Abdullahi with project: Collaborative co-design to optimize evidence-based and contextual general health worker training in integrated screening for leprosy and other skin NTDs in Nigeria
- Suraj Maharjan with project: Thermographic assessment of autonomic innervation in Leprosy
We look forward to the successful implementation of these projects and the contributing to strengthening of research capabilities.
